"CHAMPION - Hampshire Charcuterie 2019" - Now we're Multi-Award Winning!

Did that really happen?

I woke up this morning and checked my pictures on my phone.

Yes it did.

Last night, at the Hampshire Fare, “The Great Hampshire Sausage & Pie Competition 2019”, we won a fab award in recognition of our local Biltong.

Stag and Bull Biltong were confirmed as “Champions in the Hampshire Charcuterie Category 2019”

This is so exciting for our little start-up and to be crowned Champions ahead of a strong and booming UK charcuterie sector is surreal.

Im now off to speak to my farmer suppler and local butcher to order some more beef and venison … we wouldn’t want to run out!

Now it's "Award Winning Stag and Bull Biltong"


Since starting 'Stag & Bull' back in Autumn 2017, we've had some lovely feedback and comments on how good our Biltong tastes and how well it goes with Downton Brewery's beer!

We decided it was time to enter a specialist food competition ....'The Great Hampshire Sausage and Pie 2018 Awards' (charcuterie section) was our target. 

On our first entrance into this well established competition, we were awarded 'Silver' medals for our 'Heifer's Original Beef Biltong and our 'Hind's Original Venison Biltong'. 

We are chuffed with the certificates and also the recognition from our peers.

So much so, we did a little dance when we got home!
